1. Steel pipe base material: seamless steel pipe, electric welded steel pipe (straight weld, spiral weld)

3. External anti-corrosion coating: hot melt three-layer polyethylene coating. The bottom layer is fusion bonded epoxy resin powder, the middle layer is hot-melt adhesive, and the outermost layer is high-density polyethylene.

Comparison between inner epoxide outer monolayer PE and inner epoxide outer 3PE

Polyethylene and epoxy have excellent corrosion resistance, but each has its own advantages. Polyethylene is a thermoplastic material with good flexibility and bump resistance. Due to non-polar molecules, the persistence of adhesion between polyethylene and steel pipe is poor; Epoxy resin is a polar molecule with hydroxyl groups. At a certain temperature, it is easy to react with steel pipes and has strong adhesion. However, it is not resistant to collision because it is a thermosetting substance. Therefore, the combination of the two materials belongs to the best combination in the anti-corrosion industry.

The plastic coated steel pipe industry developed from the earliest internal and external polyethylene to internal and external epoxy due to adhesion problems, but the external epoxy layer is not resistant to collision. Later, it developed to the third generation internal epoxy external polyethylene, but the adhesion problem still exists when the single-layer polyethylene is directly combined with the steel pipe. Finally, it was upgraded to the fourth generation anti-corrosion internal epoxy external three-layer structural polyethylene.
